I used ground Aleppo red pepper instead of the paprika, and gave it the hot-sweet flavor. Left off the black pepper.

  Maple Coleslaw Dressing

  Amount  Measure       Ingredient -- Preparation Method

    2               cups  mayonnaise
    6        tablespoons  maple syrup
    4        tablespoons  white vinegar
    4        tablespoons  light cream -- (or milk with a little sour cream)
    2          teaspoons  paprika -- or more to taste
                          Black pepper -- to taste
  
  Whisk all ingredients together.  
  
  Add to grated cabbage and whatever else you want to put in your coleslaw.  
  
  Play with the flavors of the dressing until you get the combination you like - more maple syrup, vinegar, pepper, sour cream
  
  Makes 2 1/2 cups (makes 12 two-tablespoon servings)
