3 tablespoons smoked paprika
2 tablespoons sweet paprika
2 tablespoons onion powder
2 tablespoons garlic powder
2 tablespoons dried oregano
2 tablespoons dried basil
1 tablespoon dried thyme
2 tablespoons freshly ground black pepper
1 1/2 tablespoons cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon celery seeds

1. in a large bowl, combine the smoked and sweet paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, oregano, basil, thyme, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and celery seeds.

2. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 months

Makes 1 cup (16 one-tablespoon servings)

Author Note: Depending on what part of the country you live in, finding premixed Creole spice blends can be a challenge. So why not make your own? This spice mix is easy enough to whip up and is great for seasoning rice, meats, stews, and veggies!
