Swiss Chard and Wild Mushroom Saute

3 tablespoons olive oil
1 onion -- diced
3 garlic cloves -- minced
8 ounces assorted wild mushrooms
2 pounds Swiss chard -- chopped
1/4 cup chopped hazelnuts
Heat the oil in a large skillet. Add the onion and garlic and saute until
the onion is soft, about 3 to 8 minutes.
Add the mushrooms. Saute 2 minutes. add half of the Swiss chard, saute
until it wilts, then add the remaining chard. Saute until the Swiss chard
is just tender.
Sprinkle with hazelnuts and serve.
Serve 6
AuthorNote: A wide assortment of wild mushrooms will add to the visual
appeal and flavor of this dish.
Hazelnuts are the nuts of the hazel tree. Hazelnuts are protein-rich and a
good source for unsaturated fat. They are also full of vitamins B6, E and
thiamine.
