8 sweet onions -- quartered
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 cup tomato juice
3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons herbed bread crumbs
Preheat the oven to 300F. Grease a shallow baking pan. Place onions in the pan.
In a small saucepan, over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the salt, paprika, tomato juice, and honey. Stir to combine, and cook for 2 minutes. Drizzle the mixture over the onions. Sprinkle with the bread crumbs. Cover and bake for one hour.
Makes 6 servings
