Whole Wheat Popovers - 16.4g Carbs, 2.5g Fiber, 2g Sugar

Cook Time: 40 minutes

Servings: 8

1 1/4 cup stone ground whole wheat pastry Flour
1 1/4 cup whole milk
3 each eggs
2 Tbsp unsalted butter
1/4 tsp salt
1 Tbsp unsalted butter

Place oven rack in lower position and preheat oven to 400°F.

Lightly coat popover pan or jumbo muffin tin with cooking spray.

In food processor or blender process until smooth flour, milk, eggs, melted butter, and salt.

Place pan in oven for 2 minutes.

Remove pan from oven and place one slice of cold butter into each cup.

Return pan to oven for an additional minute, or until butter melts.

Fill each cup halfway with batter and bake 20 minutes.

Reduce temperature to 350 degrees F and bake additional 20 minutes.

Remove popovers from cups and cool slightly on wire rack. Serve warm.

Additional Information - -
Add additional flavor by pouring any extra pan juice over steaks.
