Fruits: Apple with the skin on, Raspberries, Banana's, blueberries, Figs, Grapefruit (caution reactions with Metformin), Peaches, Prunes, Strawberries, Oranges.
Then there are seeds and nuts that also have fiber.

HTH and good luck with increasing your fiber. Remember frozen veggies are great and a really good option for frugalness. Also eat in season. That will cut the costs as well. Get local grown should help also with the cost as you don't have to pay the shipping costs to bring it in.
